JOE TALBOT has been a supervisor on the Landesign team for 6 years. He oversees landscape
crews and subcontractors on multiple projects at a time. Joe's background is in horticulture which
is what he earned his degree in at the University of Missouri in 1978. Prior to his work at
Landesign he was an integral part of his family's businesses at Hillside Gardens and Talbot
Brothers Nursery where he served in all areas of the business from laborer to estimator to vice
president. Joe brings over 30 years of valuable experience in different areas of the landscape
industry. His resume at Landesign includes supervising landscape installations at Citygarden,
Novus International, Edward Jones, Mercy St. John's roof garden, Ameristar Casino, Grand Avenue
Streetscape and numerous other projects from small residential to large commercial. Joe enjoys
spending time with his granddaughters outside of work. He is also an avid bird hunter and horse
enthusiast living in Elsberry with his wife.
SHAUN MARSHALL is the Superintendent for General Construction projects and hardscape
specialist for Landesign. He has been with the company for over 13 years. Starting out as a union
carpenter, Shaun brings a strong skill set and background in construction to general sitework
projects. His resume at Landesign includes supervising site work at Pattonville High School new
stadium construction as well as Fillmore Elliot Creekbank Restoration and Clinton Street
Bioretention for the Metropolitan Sewer District. He is especially skilled and experienced in park
development projects. Landesign has completed several park projects with Shaun at the wheel
including those at Southwest Park (Webster Groves), Sugar Creek Park (Des Peres), Discovery
Playground at Jaycee Park (St. Charles), City Academy playground (St. Louis), and Towne Park
(Wentzville, St. Charles County Parks). Outside of work Shaun has served as a volunteer fireman
in Elsberry where he lives with his wife and two sons.
NICHOLAS KREKELER joined the Landesign team in February of 2012 as a Project Manager and
Restoration Ecologist. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry and a Master of Science Degree in
Forestry with an Emphasis in Ecology and Silviculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
With over ten years of experience as a restoration ecologist, Nick brings confidence and
understanding when constructing prairies and savannas in parks, stabilizing eroding urban
streambanks, restoring functional wetlands, or developing sustainable habitats that provide
tangible ecosystem benefits on private, public, and corporate campuses. With Landesign and
others, Nick's resume includes the restoration efforts by Ameren Missouri following the Taum
Sauk Reservoir breach, Novus International stormwater and native habitat reconstructions,
Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis County's Household Chemical Center, Mercy St. John's Garden
Green Roofs, and the Wild Dog, Sun Bear, and Malaysian Bear habitats in the River's Edge exhibit
at the St. Louis Zoo. In addition to construction, Nick works closely with our maintenance staff
(the Grounds Guys) to implement stewardship strategies for stormwater BMPs, rain gardens, and
other native habitats managed by our team. Nick is an outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting,
and gardening in his free time. He lives in St. Peters with his wife and daughter.
LAURA ROGERS has been a designer, estimator and project manager at Landesign for 6 years.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Landscape Architecture in 2003
and completed a 2 year internship with Austin Tao & Associates, a landscape architecture and
planning firm in St. Louis. Her resume at Landesign includes serving as project manager for
Southwest Park, Jaycee Park, Clinton Street Bioretention and Sugar Creek Park for the general
contracting division as well as numerous other landscape/hardscape projects in the St. Louis
area. Laura was the Sustainable SITES coordinator representing Landesign for the pilot project at
Novus International which went on to earn a 3 star rating, currently the highest rating given to
any pilot project in the world. Her skill set rooted in design but grown in the construction industry
makes her uniquely qualified to manage construction contracts, working closely with architects,
owners and municipalities. Laura lives in O'Fallon with her husband and 2 kids and enjoys
spending time with them and gardening in her spare time.

GEORGE TUCKER is the owner of Landesign, llc. He got his start by designing and building
residential landscape projects for Troy Landscaping, a family owned business. Landesign, llc was
started in 2002 expanding from residential landscaping to include the commercial market. George
manages over 40 employees who work on both residential and commercial projects. George
attended both the University of Missouri St. Louis and University of Central Missouri. His
memberships include the Site Improvement Association, Landscape and Nurserymen Association,
National Federation of Independent Business, Wentzville Chamber of Commerce and the Troy
Chamber of Commerce. George served as president of the Troy Rotary from 1999 to 2001 and on
the Board for First Christian Church of Troy from 2008 to 2009. George has been married to Kelly
for 28 years and they have two sons. His interests include bicycling, watching baseball and
gardening around his home.
